Oh Yuletide Muse

This is my first year in Yuletide, and I'm a little nervous. Be gentle. :)
My first words to you are simple. I like writing, and I expect you probably do too. So write what you like. I'd much rather have a story that you loved to bits and wasn't quite what I expected than one tailored exactly to fit me-- because it will be so, so much better. Have a good time writing and I'm sure I'll have a good time reading.
That said, some things I like that you can feel free to ignore:
* I'm not expecting true slash in any of the three choices-- you could probably tell. I just really love those universes and want to see some more stories in them. I'd prefer if the character relationships more or less stay in their established bounds, but if you have a mold-breaking story you want to tell, or new characters you want to introduce, go nuts.
* As someone else said on their letter, I'm a sucker for dialogue. Especially comedy, which is really, really hard. Go stories that make you laugh.
* On the other hand, as a writer myself, one of the things that I genuinely suck at is writing description that actually sucks you into the text. If I read something where the ambience is really well done, I do backflips.
The only other important thing to say is thank you, thank you, thank you. It will be much appreciated, and I'm looking forward to it. :)
