Faith Meditation
Jan. 16th, 2018 04:24 pmThrough a stained-glass window, the world is simple:
all things a few bright colors,
all things divided neatly,
all things part
of a larger picture.
But a woman walks into the world,
squints at me,
and leaves
the window unchanged
and my vision shattered.
I can move on to the next window,
lose myself again in beauty,
understand the same trees in the same five colors—
or I can open the door.
