She is so incredibly, completely a product of her culture and it's infuriating. She isn't STUPID, but she's taken on the role she was raised to take on, to her detriment.
It's just... every other member of her family is fabulously stubborn and courageous, and yet here she is always whining and giving in. She makes me angry because she could be so very much more, and just isn't.
I'm hoping she ends up betraying Joffrey later. Or killing him, with any luck.
I took it that that's part of the point, we as readers/viewers are supposed to be upset that she has more potential, but she acts the part of the Lady and "is good." Arya is definitely the exception, gender-role wise (although the Mormont women, some of them, take up arms... and are mocked for it. Their clan sigil involves a bear so of course they are she-bears hur hur hur). And Ned gives in to Robert and trusts the wrong people... the same mistakes Sansa makes. Sansa's a bit less whiny in the books.
