I need some positive vibes today. Tell me something good that someone other than a direct member of your family did recently.

Just a little one here: I was buying cake before work today (Thursday is Cake Day in the office and it's my turn at the rotation), and the lady in front of me with a pile of things asked me if I'd like to check out first and then had a very pleasant little conversation with me while I did so. It was a surprisingly civilized moment.

A friend of mine offered to let me practice driving in her not-yet-paid-off-car if we can coordinate schedules.

I saw a guy have a seizure on the street the other day. I hadn't made it to the person before 6 people had cell phones out calling 911 and another guy was sitting next to him telling him it would be okay. The ambulance was there inside of 5 minutes.
It was nice. Scary, but the instant community response was heartening. If it was my mom on the ground, I couldn't have wanted a better reaction from the public.

Last night, spouse, child and I went out to Buffalo Wild Wings with wa and her husband. Said husband found Spongebob episodes on his smartphone to keep Frog amused. It was a nice dinner.
