"My get up and go got up and went" is distressingly accurate at the moment.

ETA: And of course today--which was known to be awful--is significantly worse within ten minutes of getting to work.

I need some Christmas cheer, people. Tell me something neat you have done or will do this season. I'd be grateful for the distraction.

I am aaaallllmost finished with my Yuletide treat, and have randomly bought Kindle books for several people.

Also, I'll be in in a couple hours. Can I bring you anything? A doughnut, maybe?

And I'm already pretty much in perpetual sugar coma for the season. What I really need is something silly and colorful--like a little toy--that I can sit on my desk and smile at/play with.

I went to the Bodies exhibit with my girlfriend. It was awesome. We giggled a bit about having a date night to go see dead bodies, but it was totally fun. And then I noticed that the local bookstores all have bodies-related books available for the kids right now; plastic models of the digestive system, models of the hand, picture books of all the various layers and parts. Neat stuff.

We're also in the process of getting our chosen-family moved in nearby. More on that later when they've settled in. Suffice it to say I'm squeeing inside all day long.
