Almost... there.... 8-3-04
Aug. 3rd, 2004 10:50 pmFixed my resume for probably the last time this round. Still managed to keep it to one page. Got conflicting advice about whether it should look good or be scannable; settled for clean but simple.
And if that summary wasn't enough to convince you I've been writing a resume, I don't know what would be. Action verbs!
Thanks to a little digging and some help from my friends and co-workers, I have six or seven really solid leads on jobs-- community colleges mostly, which would suit me fine for temporary work. Actually writing the cover letters is going to be a fun time, but I need to get these in ASAP; by the end of the week at the latest. Otherwise it's too late to be hired before the semester starts.
To a certain extent it's comforting to have a deadline again... it means I can't put this stuff off anymore, and thus it'll get done. On the other hand that means the usual gastrointestinal disruption that comes with any stress. Ah well. Upset stomach I can live with-- empty stomach not so much.
