As is customary, I begin my Christmas Eve watch. My family has gone to bed. In a few minutes I'll leave the computer, and then it will just be me, my thoughts, a dark room, and a bright tree.

May all of you in company tomorrow love those around you clearly and well. And may those of you not with the people you wish feel their love across any distance and time.
