Next Year's Goal
Dec. 9th, 2008 08:59 amSo I was reading Moresukine a while back, and thought the idea was cool. Also, I realized that I've watched a lot of TV this year but almost no movies.
So here's what I want to do for next year. Every week, I'm given a movie to watch by you folks or anyone else who comments here. I don't get to pick 'em and they can be any genre, good or bad, as long as they're ones I haven't seen and either available at my local video store or showing at one of my three local theaters. Each week I report back here to review the movie I saw.
What I'm leaning towards for process is having you guys generate me a big list, then each week randomly selecting five or so of the qualifying films and posting a poll. Winner of the poll is the one that I see, ties are broken randomly. The big list can be added to at any time by you all, and I'll keep pruning ones I've seen or ones that are no longer in theaters. If something isn't in at the video store, then I go to the next most voted for film and so on down the list.
Does this sound workable/interesting to you folks? Also, what should I call it? :-)
