Ok, so a little background for those people who don't see me every week, or who see me and don't talk to me about my games.

I run a weekly game of Nobilis, and have done for going on two and a half years. I got started doing this because I was in my friend Alvin's Nobilis campaign and loved it so much that I had to spread it around.

Now, roleplaying is Alvin's life. It's his primary social outlet-- GMing is pretty much the way that he connects with people. He's more than a little obsessive about the things that he loves, and he loves Nobilis, so he ended up running four parallel weekly Nobilis games, of which mine was one.

Every few months he would stage a crossover game where all four groups would get together for one enormous, day-long, twenty-player plot. We'd spend most of the day socializing, some of it plotting against each other or trying to cross-pollinate things from one game to another, and at some point make sure that we incidentally solved the plot. It was, in short, a total blast in and out of character. The stories we developed were epic, the conversations we had were hilarious, and since we had nothing to do in downtime except talk to each other, we got to know each other better.

So that's the precedent. Now Charles and I get a chance to do the same thing with our games-- this Saturday will be our first co-game, with a ginormous plot rooted in the very beginnings of my game and around 12 players. And I am pumped as hell, because with the players we have it should be awesome.

And I get to spend all day today figuring out how to actually make it work. O.O
