MANOS: The Rock Opera of Fate

kilroySo, went to go see MANOS this weekend. I caught a sniffle as a result, but it was TOTALLY worth it. Really terrible rock opera based on one of the worst movies of all time, with liberal, bald-faced ripping off of Les Miserables, Labyrinth, and E.T.? This was totally a win.
Highlights include: the low-budget cop car (a flashing LED keychain); the couple that does absolutely nothing on stage but make out furiously; the narrator getting drunk and hurling beer cans down on the audience and cast (which they threw back); the opening number ("A gi-ant dra-gon! And some kick-ass kung-fu!"); Torgo consulting his word-a-day calendar when confronting the Master; the completely unnecessary but absolutely true to the movie three-way catfight; and the repetitious, cardboard overacting from the mother ("Mike! I'm scared!").
Also, I feel obligated to share this bit of dialogue from early on in the play. The extremely unhappy cop pulls up to the make-out couple for the second time to tell them to go somewhere else.
COP: Why are you still here?
KID: Man, can't you go bother someone else?
COP: I was talking to the audience. (turns) It doesn't get any better.
