I must in good conscience rescind my earlier comment about Netflix instant streaming. I upgraded my internet connection and lo, it works. I can still tell that it's not a DVD (I think), but it's beneath my OCD threshold and I can probably just sit back and enjoy the films.

Further experimentation will ensue.
