Smallville again

kilroyI know this is slightly contrary to things I've posted about the show recently, but... I have to admit from the first few episodes that they really got their groove back ninth season. And that gives me a surprisingly warm feeling. For all the fuckups the show has made over the years, I do still really love the characters; seeing them fly again makes me very, very happy.
ETA: OMFG, episode six just made me whoop out loud. There were at least three points where I was saying to myself "Don't fuck it up, don't fuck it up," and they didn't. The Mia version of Speedy! Not getting a question about a relationship mired in distrust! Tess Mercer actually being a badass! Chloe and Stuart! I am over the freaking moon here.
