#305: You can't afford the apocalypse on a television budget. Don't even try. (Supernatural)
#306: Never insult your own fans in canon. (Supernatural)
#307: The writer should never literally be God. (Supernatural)
#308: Over-narration is only good for setting tone. (Supernatural)
#308a: If you're doing an episode that's crammed full of intense plot, don't use narration-- it will just break the tension. (Supernatural)
#308b: Narration should never tell the audience what to think. (Supernatural)

I'd also like to call out #298. Hint: if you're going to bring them back the same episode you kill them, don't kill them.

And for that matter, #287 also applies. There's only so many times that brotherly love can pull them back from the brink and still have any impact. And only so many times they can go back and forth from having an apple-pie life to being hunters.

As the season of Smallville (and Legend of the Seeker for that matter) is complete and I can go back and watch it all in a shot, I'm expecting more of these soon.
