Other random reading notes
Mar. 9th, 2011 09:23 amSo, because I give half credit to books that I only want to read once, my total of 28 "keepers" is actually only 22 physical books that stayed on my shelf.
( Here's the list. )
Interestingly, out of those 22 books 15 are by women. Looking back at the "worth reading once" books, they're almost always by men. The ladies have an advantage in that I almost always keep short story collections, and all but one of the collections I read last year were by female authors. Still. The best of the best are about even, but it seems like women have a much more consistent record with books that are just solidly good.
