Portents and Omens

Already the birds are singing and the sky is clearing. But twenty minutes ago? Pouring buckets.

Exactly when I had to get to work.
When my car is parked ten minutes away due to construction.
When I could not delay because my co-worker is out today.
When my rain jacket was already at work.

I will now proceed to spend the rest of the day soaked to the skin and listening to the birds singing about how lovely a day it is.
