Well, the new Doctor's companion is also hella young, or at least young-looking.

It's now firmly in the hands of the writing. I'm willing to trust the actors to perform with depth and gravitas, but the words need to be there for them to prove this isn't a show just for the young.

Russell T. couldn't have done it. Moffat probably can. But I feel very weird appending a "probably" to anything that man does.
