Moderation?
Jan. 2nd, 2009 02:16 pmOh, Lucy, I blew through Song of Susannah in about 36 hours over break. I'm in another novel now, but I'll try and hack at the Dark Tower after this one and see if I can make it. Prior experience tells me it'll be a few months before I'm ready, but we'll see.
I liked the book a lot-- I was sucked right in, turning pages quickly and seeing what was up with the characters. But at the same time I have this awkward awareness that King is absolutely jumping the shark and has been since the end of Book 5.
The question that I'll have answered next book is whether he's at the apex of the leap yet.
