Another successful campaign
Aug. 11th, 2005 11:37 amWell, I finished another one. I planned to run Adventure! for three months, I ran it for three months. I had a specific story to get through, and I got through it. I wanted to meet new players, and I got an amazing group.
Highlights: Underwater zeppelins, the scientist quadruple-botching a dance check, cliffhangers with actual cliffs, buying a death ray from Nicola Tesla, Buck Rogers flying discs, inviting the woman hostage in for a drink, "You should keep better control of your women!", using the hermetic-door-on-rollers as propulsion, gravity traps, unscrewing the henchman's head and running away with it, "Uh, yeah, I just got transferred to work at the Water Temple-- can you show me around?", the incredibly deadly fish trap, "SPIDERS!", the interdimensional purple haze, the reservoir/aqueduct fight on top of a fifty foot statue of Poseidon, crashing through Macy's during the Fourth of July parade, a tank and a plane colliding in a subway tunnel, boarding and fighting on the Felix the Cat balloon, velcro Thuggee, the world's silliest balloon traps, kidnapping bloody New York, Zorbo's flying fortress decloaking over Atlantis, pancaking the giant statue, scientist saying to his double "Perhaps you could explain how this works?", the Princess' final battle on the moon, Jack Jordan not dying at the end of the last story, the nemesis getting away inside the Professor at the very end.
What a great game. That was one to be proud of.
