kilroySo, Cake (the band) makes me happy. Their B-Sides album has been out for a year or more, but I finally got around to picking it up last week. (Mel, tell CK that this is his fault.)
Why do I love this band?
Because they released their album with five variant scratch-and-sniff covers including leather and fresh-cut grass. I got grape.
Because they have a live version of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" with one of the guys from the Flaming Lips as a bonus track.
But mostly, because they did a totally rockin' cover of "Mahna, Mahna." What other band in the universe would even consider that?
