Stupid Crises

So they're killing Birds of Prey in February. It probably won't stay dead. And I admit, the last arc after Gail Simone left has kinda sucked. But... but... Birds of Prey! Come on!

I have to say, the whole "let's have a crisis every year" thing is REALLY starting to get to me (it's the excuse for breaking up the Birds). You do not need to reorganize your whole bloody mythology every goddamn year. I don't care what your sales look like, it stops being exciting and groundbreaking after about the second time. It starts to stretch even my disbelief after the fourth time.

I don't want four Flashes simultaneously, even if it means Barry Allen comes back. I certainly don't need seven colors of Lanterns. I don't want an exciting fight over who gets to replace Batman-- I remember how lame that was when you did it with Superman ten years ago. I just... gah.

Doesn't anyone value consistency anymore?
