Doctor quest
Jul. 3rd, 2008 09:35 amOk. Lucy came into my office this morning and mentioned that my symptoms sounded like anemia. This is an obvious and probably correct diagnosis given that my acid-reducers also can affect things like B12 and iron processing. If I would have had my head screwed on straight, I might well have made that connection myself-- I did the last time I had symptoms like this. Thank you, Lucy. :)
Poking around on the internet has reminded me, however, that anemia is extremely easy to test for, and that my doctor could tell me whether or not this was the case with pretty much one blood sample.
Which brings me, once again, to the fact that I don't have a doctor. I really, really need to fix this problem. So, barring recommendations from people, how does one GET a doctor?
EDIT: Also, I apparently need to figure out how to photosynthesize. A lot of the foods on the high-iron list cause kidney stones! Yay!
