*rubs eyes*
Ugh. I want to be taking a nap right now. For the past two or three weeks I've been having nasal issues which occasionally cause difficulty sleeping. Last night was one of those nights, due also in part to a mild recurrence of the perennial eyeball issue. So I'm a zombie at work at the moment.
Naturally, this means taking a few moments on livejournal for random updates.
I never posted this, although I started to do so several times, but my sister had some fairly serious medical complications while on vacation and had her gall bladder removed. She's all right; at home and recovering, and my mom's looking after her. But if you want to send any positive thought out in her direction, I'm sure it wouldn't do any harm.
My new year's resolution is being partly successful. I planned to read at least a short story a day, which I've more or less been doing. I slip a day or two here, I catch up there. I'm still looking for the regular niche in my schedule so I stop dropping days, but I think I'm actually caught up as of this morning. But what I really wanted to do was to start an LJ community where I and others could basically post little synopses and reviews of stories as they read them-- with tags. I've wanted a short story filing system for years. But actually doing that every day is seeming like something I'm unlikely to maintain.
Work is calming down, finally. In the near future I should have time to write during the day again, which I'm looking forward to. We'll see what comes of it.
