Climactic anticlimax
So... that went really smoothly. It was a lot more narrative than my games usually run, but we're heading into the end and there's some important plot stuff that needed to be shown and not told.
My players all ran with it, listening attentively (which tells me my story was good) and adding their own flourishes (which tells me my players are good). We still ended on a world-class cliffhanger for two of the characters, and the others are one scene away from serious world-shattering plot.
Not my perfect game by any stretch of the imagination, but a solid piece of work nonetheless. I'm quietly pleased.
Now to see if I can actually wrap this sucker up in... six sessions.
